With its slender inverted funnel shape, the vase SOLIFLORE ALAMBIC takes its place quite rightly in the series of archetypal and neglected kitchen objects. Reinvented here as a vase, the change in function gives the piece a feel of the ready-made, its intense banality shaped to its new fate. Half sculpture, half rustic vessel, its milky white surface dignifies any flower that may be placed within. Proof, if it were needed, that any object hides within itself other possible uses. YS
