PICNIC
2001
Part of the series of forsaken kitchen objects, PICNIC revisits the classic plastic cup, which, when five of them are stacked and rendered in ceramic, transforms into an unpretentious vase. By playing with its form and function, the object rekindles memories of picnics. Through a playful diversion of use, the cups become a vase which can hold a small rustic bouquet, demonstrating how a design can be re-appropriated depending on its context. YS
